The Halloween Portrait Project is heading into its Sixth Year!
Over the years I have made hundreds of portraits of Austin children in their Halloween Costumes. This project is definitely a favorite of mine. I LOVE seeing all the kids (and adults too.) Their creativity is boundless!
These photos viewed as a whole collection act as a visual documentation of the celebratory tradition and culture of Halloween in Austin, Texas.
The Halloween Portrait Project has been exhibited twice – once in the year long People’s Gallery exhibition in Austin City Hall and once as part of West Austin Studio Tours and it keeps getting better each year.
So come on over on All Hallows Eve to be a part of The Halloween Portrait Project! Everyone who comes by for a portrait gets a gift print.
Trick or Treat!
