Athlete Portraits

I had the opportunity to work with this amazing swimmer and make some portraits of her right before she left for college.

I’ve watched her swim a few times and she is F.A.S.T. easily beating everyone in the pool (including some pretty burly looking dudes) by a couple body lengths.

I wanted to capture both her toughness as a competitor and her qualities as a young woman because she is also probably the sweetest teenager I’ve ever met.

We met up at the empty pool early on a chilly morning before she went to work and made these portraits. I have to say that these are probably some of my favorite portraits to date.
